Membership Classifications/Fees

Student Membership

$10.00/year
Students undergoing courses leading towards a first degree are encouraged to apply for this level of membership with reduced membership fees and discounts on registration for conventions, seminars and workshops. Students must abide by the following conditions:

Attest to their formal acceptance and agreement with the Council's Code of Ethics, Creed and standards of ethical conduct.
Voting on ICIM matters will not apply to Student Members.

Ordinary Member

$20.00/year
Provided for members of the general public, who although not involved in the provision of an integrative health care service or professional work, agree with and support the stated mission statement and benevolent objectives of the institution.

Attest to their formal acceptance and agreement with the Council's Code of Ethics, Creed and standards of ethical conduct.
Voting on ICIM matters will not apply to Ordinary Members.

Affiliates

$30.00/year
Affiliate status does NOT preclude or discriminate against applicants who do not hold an accredited first degree but will be required to satisfy the following conditions:

Possess a minimum of one (1) year professional experience, serving in a field of Integrative Medicine and recognised by the Membership Committee and,
Attest to their formal acceptance and agreement with the Council's Code of Ethics, Creed and standards of ethical conduct and,
Who may be deemed as duly qualified to remain at the Council's accredited level of status by virtue of their qualifications and valuable field experience.
Voting on ICIM matters will not apply to Affiliates.

Associates

$50.00/year
Life Associate: $500.00 (Conference registration fee discount 50%)
Provided for potential candidates who work in areas of integrative medicine and satisfy the following conditions:

Possess a minimum of one (1) year accredited training in a course related to Integrative Medicine and recognised by the Membership Committee and,
Possess a minimum of one (1) year professional experience, serving in a field of Integrative Medicine and recognised by the Membership Committee and,
Attest to their formal acceptance and agreement with the Council's Code of Ethics, Creed and standards of ethical conduct and,
Who may be deemed as duly qualified to remain at the Council's accredited level of status by virtue of their qualifications and valuable field experience.

Professional Member

$80.00/year(Conference registration fee discount 20%)
Life Professional Member: $800.00 (Conference registration fee discount 50%)
For potential candidates who are usually already working in the field and are:

Qualified health carers possessing an accredited university first/undergraduate degree or equivalent recognised qualification or,
Specialty Postgraduate Degree in Health Studies and,
Possess a minimum of three (3) years professional experience, serving in a field of Integrative Medicine, recognised by the Membership Committee and,
Attest to their formal acceptance and agreement with the Council's Code of Ethics, Creed and standards of ethical conduct.

Fellow Membership

$100.00/year (Conference registration fee discount 30%)
Life Fellow: $1,000.00 (Conference registration fee discount 50%)
For potential candidates who are usually teaching in the field or practice in a medical specialty or related area of Integrative Medicine and are:

Qualified as medical practitioners or specialists and,
Hold an accredited medical degree or,
Postgraduate degree in a related doctorate for State/National certification in clinical psychology, health education, medico-legal law specialty, social work, nursing or related health areas, such as Ph.D., D.Sc, Ed.D, J.D. and,
Possess a minimum of five (5) years professional/academic experience serving in specialty fields related to Integrative Medicine and recognised by the Membership Committee and,
Attest to their formal acceptance and agreement with the Council's Code of Ethics, Creed and standards of ethical conduct.

Honorary Life Fellowship and Life Membership

Awarded by Board of Directors as a special Distinction, upon any person, who by reason of conspicuous service and demonstrated exceptional contributions to the field of Integrative Medicine is deemed worthy of such an honour. Any member may nominate a recipient for conferral of Honorary Life Membership.

Grandfather Clause

Initially a Grandfather clause will remove the need for an examination. However, in future years Associates, Professional Members and Fellows may be required to pass a formal written examination pertinent to ethics and critical issues in Integrative Medicine procedure and practice.
